Pocket nappy

Pocket Nappies are shaped like a disposable often with elasticated legs and are similar to an all in one, but have a pocket at the back along the waistline which enables you to insert and remove the absorbent part of the nappy. They often have a fleece inner so that no liner is required making this a remarkably easy nappy to use when assembled. The insert is a piece of cloth, hemp or other which is shaped to fit into the nappy pocket and absorb the wet.

These nappies come in all different fabrics and designs from patterned fleece to animal print and fasten with applix (like Velcro) or poppers.

Because you take the absorbent part of the nappy out to wash, the outer part is very quick to dry meaning that although they may seem quite expensive you will not need as many as some other nappies. Also very handy for nursery and day care where carers may not want to have to assemble a nappy.

With this nappy there is no need for a wrap or in some cases a liner although you may choose to use one to protect the fabric from any staining.
